Value chain - from an idea to a product!
"Transforming your ideas into success" is the credo of mateligent. Combining the many years of experience in the field of intelligent material systems, which emerged from the iMSL (imsl.de), the "intelligent Material Systems Lab" at Saarland University, with decades of industrial know-how, we transform innovative and novel systems into market-ready products.
mateligent develops mechatronic actuator/sensor systems based on so-called intelligent materials. The focus is on system solutions in customer-specific applications for a wide range of industries such as automation, medical technology, building services or automotive.
The focus of our two subsidiaries mateligent iDEAS and mateligent nititec is on actuators and sensors based on dielectric elastomers (DE) and actuator-sensor systems based on nickel-titanium shape memory alloys (SMA). In the future, these novel systems will complement or replace conventional actuators such as electromagnets or motors. The technologies used (DE & SMA) enable extremely high design flexibility, high dynamics, the production of lightweight and compact systems as well as the simultaneous use as actuator and sensor due to their unique properties.
At mateligent iDEAS GmbH, flexible expansion and pressure sensors are already being produced in series today. Due to their low weight and flexibility, these are used by our customers in particular in wearables for the precise measurement of movements and forces, but are also used in medicine and industry.
The unique cooperation of mateligent GmbH with iMSL and our customers transfers the innovative technologies from proof-of-concepts and A-samples into series production.
