AMA Innovation Award 2021: Submit applications now

AMA Association is looking for innovations in sensors and measurement technology

Berlin, 10.11.2020 - The AMA Association for Sensors and Measurment (AMA) invites researchers and developers to apply for the AMA Innovation Award 2021. Innovative research and development results in the field of sensors and measurement technology are sought. The closing date for entries is January 15, 2021.

Applications are open to individuals and development teams with innovative research and development solutions that demonstrate a recognizable market relevance. The renowned AMA Innovation Award is endowed with prize money of 10,000 euros. In addition, companies can apply for the special "Young Company" prize if they have been in the market for no longer than five years, employ fewer than 50 employees and generate annual sales of less than 10 million euros. The winner in this category will receive a free booth at SENSOR+TEST 2021.

The AMA Innovation Award has been bestowed directly on the most innovative minds for 21 years. The award is given to the developers themselves, not to the institutions behind them. The jury consists of industry experts from universities, research institutes and companies. The jurors pay special attention to the scientific achievement, the degree of innovation of the development and the expected chances in the market.

"Sensors and measurement technology remain the key technologies of the future, especially in economically difficult times. Whether in medical technology, automotive or agriculture. With the AMA Innovation Award, we invite creative minds to present their promising projects to a broad expert audience at the SENSOR+TEST", says jury chairman Andreas Schütze from Saarland University. "We are looking forward to receiving applications from established companies and institutions and of course also from young companies. In recent years, these have often emerged as double winners, winning both the special category and the AMA Innovation Award".

The closing date for entries is January 15, 2021, and the nominations and winners of the special prize will be announced at the AMA press conference on February 25, 2021. The winners of the AMA Innovation Award 2021 will be awarded at the opening ceremony of the international conference Sensor and Measurement Science International 2021 on May 3, 2021 in Nuremberg.
