Sensodrive is a German high-tech company specialising in the development of torque sensors and robotic drives with integrated torque measurement and control.

As a spin-off from the German Aerospace Center (DLR), the company has been a pioneer of HRC robotics since 2003 with its patented torque sensors. Since then, Sensodrive’s torque sensors have impressed companies around the world with their combination of market-leading technology and exceptional control engineering – and they have now been installed in more than a hundred thousand cobots, medical robots, force feedback solutions and many other robotic concepts from well-known manufacturers.

Sensodrive is still the technology leader and regularly underscores this claim to leadership with new innovations such as the world's first torque sensor with an integrated BiSS-C interface.

Sensodrive opened a new chapter in HRC robotics in 2020 with the development of SensoJoint, the sensitive, torque-controlled actuator, and is the only supplier worldwide to offer complete drive modules that can be integrated into any sensitive robotics concept via plug & play.
