Fraunhofer EMFT conducts cutting-edge applied research on sensors and actuators for people and the environment. The ca. 150 employees in the three locations in Munich, Oberpfaffenhofen and Regensburg possess impressive long-term experience and wide-ranging know-how in the fields of microelectronics and microsystem technology. A focal research topic of Fraunhofer EMFT is sensor solutions, customized to meet the individual requirements and needs of our customers.

In the area of Safe and Secure Electronics, Fraunhofer EMFT possesses wide-ranging expertise in reliability and tamper protection of electronic components and systems. The R&D activities in this competence area include failure analyses, ESD test and protection concepts, reverse engineering and hardware-based tamper protection technologies.
