Terms and Conditions of Participation in the Digital Services of SENSOR+TEST
1. Event duration
The digital part of SENSOR+TEST lasts beyond the actual event period, selected content of the event will remain permanently available online. These termas and conditions of participation apply to the entire period of data use.
2. Participants
a.) Participants will register at the event website to participate in the digital part of SENSOR+TEST. After completing the registration process, the participants will receive an email to confirm registration and to activate their digital participant profile.
b.) By registering, participants accept as binding the terms and conditions of participation in the digital part of SENSOR+TEST. A contract between the participant and the organizer will be formed when the participant confirms registration.
3. Costs of participation in the event
Participants can attend the digital part of SENSOR+TEST for free.
4. Data protection statement
Personal data are processed by the organizer as the controller within the meaning of data protection law and where applicable by its service partners, in compliance with the relevant data protection regulations for the purpose of supporting and providing information to customers and prospective customers and providing the offered services (legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 letter b EU GDPR).
In accordance with the principle of data economy and reduction, only such data are processed that are absolutely required for the purposes indicated above. Of course, personal data will be treated as confidential and protected by appropriate safeguards in the best possible way. Only authorised persons providing technical, commercial and customer management support have access to your data. Naturally, appropriate job processing agreements have been entered into to the extent legally required.
Personal data are retained until the contractual relationship with the organizer ends and the data are no longer needed for other legal reasons (e.g. legal retention periods).
Every participant has the right to lodge a complaint regarding this data processing to the competent data protection supervisory authority and may request, subject to the legal conditions, information, rectification, erasure or restricted processing of its data, object to the processing, or assert its right to data portability.
5. Transfer of data to third parties / Use of data for advertising purposes
a.) The organiser points out that personal data provided by the participants upon registration will be processed for the purpose of statistical analysis, for market research purposes, for the transmittal of information (via regular mail and e-mail, concerning future events and similar or related topics), and for customer retention measures (e.g. receipt of loyalty benefits, invitation to events) (Art. 6 para. 1 letter f EU GDPR). b.) If registered participants participate in a video presentation, a digital session or livestream of an exhibitor, the participant’s data provided upon registration, i.e. last name, first name, company, job title, country, and email address will be transmitted to the respective company for the purpose of supporting customers and prospective customers for providing offered services, regardless of whether the company in question is based in Germany, the EU, or another third country. The participant’s participation in those services is voluntary and takes not place without any further action on the part of the participant. The data will only be transmitted to the company if the participant takes such an action. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter b EU GDPR.
c.) If registered participants enter into mutual interaction with other registered participants in the form of a chat, the data required to identify participants will be visible to the other participants of the chat as provided during registration of the participants, i.e. first name and last name. The participant’s participation in mutual interactions is voluntary and takes not place without any further action on the part of the participant. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter b EU GDPR.
d.) If registered participants visit company profiles, the data provided upon registration may be transferred to the company, i.e. first name, last name and e-mail address. Visiting company profiles is voluntary and takes not place without any further action on the part of the registered participant. The data are only transmitted to the company when the user visits the company profile. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter b EU GDPR.
e.) Every registered participant has the right to lodge a complaint against this data processing with the competent supervisory authority and may demand access, rectification, erasure, or restricted processing, object to the processing, or assert his or her right to data portability, subject to the legal prerequisites. 6. Final provisions
Place of performance and jurisdiction will be the legal domicile of the organizer.
Should any of the aforementioned clauses, conditions or articles be void or invalid, no other clauses, conditions or articles shall be affected thereby. Should any provisions of these terms and conditions of participation be void or invalid, recognizably intended provisions, which could have been legally agreed upon, shall be valid instead.
