TVOC detection Solution --- PID sensor
May 15, 2024
The SPID series sensor is a widely used photo ionization gas sensor (Photo Ionization Detector, PID for short) that can detect volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from very low concentrations (10ppb) to higher concentrations (10,000ppm) in a variety of environments. It uses a high-energy UV lamp (10.6eV) to ionize VOCs molecules, and the generated ions are converted into electrical signals by the measuring electrode. The high-energy ultraviolet radiation of the UV lamp can ionize most VOCs molecules in the air, but still maintain the basic components in the air, such as N2, O2, CO2, H2O, etc. are not ionized. Photoion gas sensors are very suitable for detecting a variety of volatile organic compounds in environmental gases and are not interfered by air, with detection accuracy reaching the ppb level.
