SENSOR+TEST 2021 Comes Back in May

Date simultaneous with PCIM Europe and SMTconnect promises synergies for visitors and exhibitors

Berlin/Steinhude, Germany, 12 March 2020: The SENSOR+TEST, the leading international trade fair for sensor, measuring, and testing technology, will be held as of 2021 at the beginning of May. This was announced by the AMA Association for Sensors and Measurement and the organizer, AMA Service at a joint press conference in Nuremberg. The new dates, the 4th to the 6th of May, 2021, are the result of a long, but constructive coordination and planning among the Nuremberg Exhibition Center, the AMA Association, the fair organizer, and the exhibitor board.

“Since the habitual date for the event was no longer available as of 2018, it was moved to the end of June. This date, however, was not as accepted as we had hoped. A major reason for this was the upcoming summer vacations that put a strain on both, visitors and exhibitors,” said Holger Bödeker, managing director of the organizing AMA Service.

The new date is auspicious, allowing a good solution for the event at the Nuremberg fair grounds for all parties involved. The new hall combination of Halls 1, 2, and 3C, well accepted by the exhibitors, will be kept on with the new concept beyond 2020. Thanks to the planned expansion of the parking lots and improved connecting walkways to public transportation, the convenience will significantly increase in the years to come.

“We greatly appreciate the new date that allows exhibitors to present their developments and innovations to the interested parties earlier in the year. Moreover, we welcome the technologically interesting cooperation with the parallel events, PCIM Europe and SMTconnect,” says Peter Krause, the AMA Association’s chairman of the executive board, adding, “We’d also like to thank all those involved, especially those representing Mesago Messe Frankfurt, who agreed to the date for their two trade fairs.”

Based on the positive experience gained in earlier joint events, the AMA Association and AMA Service see significant synergies and links of the SENSOR+TEST with PCIM Europe. The exhibition spectrum is considerably expanded by the internationally leading trade fair and conference for power electronics, intelligent drives, renewable energy, and energy management as well as the SMTconnect, a fair for technologies in the area development, production, services, and application of microelectronic components and systems.

“With the PCIM Europe and the SMTconnect we have very beneficial additions in the value chain for visitors. Innovators at all three fairs are invited for an intensive and comprehensive exchange of ideas on new technologies,” says Peter Krause, talking about the new concept.
