On the right track and finally back in Nuremberg

Mar 10, 2022

Preparations for SENSOR+TEST from May 10-12, 2022 are in full swing. There are less than 100 days to go until the opening, and on the occasion of the annual press conference of the AMA Association for Sensors and Measurement in Nuremberg, organizer Holger Bödeker was already able to give an overall positive outlook on this year's edition of the leading international trade fair for sensor, measuring and testing technology - despite the still ongoing Corona restrictions.

Welcome to the Innovation Dialog! - is the motto again from May 10 to 12, 2022 at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center. Then the SENSOR+TEST will represent the entire metrological system competence for measuring, testing and monitoring tasks in all industries - from the sensor to the evaluation.

"We will finally be able to welcome our exhibitors and visitors back to the exhibition halls in May after a forced break of three years," Holger Bödeker, Managing Director of AMA Service GmbH, is pleased to announce. "According to current status, we expect more than 300 exhibitors in halls 1 and 2 of the Nuremberg Exhibition Center this year. Of course, this does not bring us up to the numbers of the 2019 show and before Corona, but against the background of global uncertainties and economic problems, this is a respectable level and shows that SENSOR+TEST has lost none of its appeal even after the pandemic. After all, especially for our small and medium-sized companies, the return to a presence trade fair this year is more important than ever to strengthen and expand contacts with active and potential customers."

Full supporting program to be expected

The extensive supporting program, which has already characterized the SENSOR+TEST for many years, will again be accompanied by a top-class lecture forum in 2022. Holger Bödeker comments: "The quality continues to be very high due to the professional examination of the submissions, from which above all the visitors of the trade fair will benefit." Thus, interested parties can already look forward to a highly attractive program. The whole thing is rounded off by the Career Center, where engineers and students of technical disciplines can get tips on applications and careers from HR professionals.

Special topic "Sensor and Measuring Technology for the Digital World".

The digital world gives us a variety of ways to better analyze and understand real-world processes. However, in order for digital systems to produce precise results, they need the most comprehensive and accurate information possible about real-world conditions. Sensors and measurement systems ensure this link between the digital and the real, analog world and are thus the key technologies for the functioning of digital processes of all kinds.

The special topic of SENSOR+TEST 2022 offers suppliers and users space for an innovation dialog about new concepts, products and solutions for important application areas: From human vital data to measured variables of our environment to the immense variety of data from industrial and technical processes. Companies and institutes with special expertise in digitization can present themselves with a cost-effective complete package at the highlighted special forum "Sensor and Measuring Technology for the Digital World".

Joint stands strongly occupied

There is also a strong demand for state-subsidized participation in the "Innovation Made in Germany" joint stand for young innovative companies, which enables them to showcase their new developments. This stand will be sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology for the fifteenth time in 2022 and is already fully booked.
Other joint stands are organized by research communities such as Bayern Innovativ, the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft or the Strategic Partnership for Sensor Technology.

Two established conferences

Sensors and sensor systems for the Internet of Things will also be the focus of the 21. ITG/GMA-Fachtagung Sensoren und Messsysteme, which will be organized in rotation on May 10 and 11, 2022, by the Informationstechnische Gesellschaft im VDE (ITG) in cooperation with the VDI/VDE-Gesellschaft Mess- und Automatisierungstechnik (GMA). Similarly, the conference will also report on new developments in the field of measurement systems, their analysis and description, and system-related (multi-)sensor technology. For more information, interested parties can visit the SENSOR+TEST website at www.sensor-test.com/conferences.

The ettc2022 European Test and Telemetry Conference (May 10-12, 2022) in hall 2 is the most important international platform for telemetry, telecontrol, test instrumentation and data processing. It will be held for the fifth time in parallel with SENSOR+TEST. Visitors and participants will experience the important role of telemetry technologies for applications e.g. in aerospace, automotive industry and biomedicine in current industrial developments such as IoT, Big Data, Wireless or UAV (drones).

Exhibit and visit

In any case, companies that still want to exhibit should hurry. All information they need on the many ways to participate in the trade fair, as well as the opportunities to subsidize participation for SMEs, are available on the SENSOR+TEST website. Visitors can already secure their trade fair ticket online. www.sensor-test.com

Also 2022 with strong digital offer

SENSOR+TEST will continue its digital innovation communication in 2022. Already in the run-up to the event, interested visitors will find a whole range of innovations and topics on the website, which they can experience live at the trade fair. This is rounded off by regular newsletters, which draw attention to the technologies offered by exhibitors, as well as via the social media channels, which provide continuous and up-to-date reports - before, during and after the event.
