SENSOR+TEST 2017: Focus on Networked Sensors, Measuring Technology, and Test Systems

Under the motto “Welcome to the Innovation Dialog,” the SENSOR+TEST – the international trade fair for sensor, measuring, and testing technology – opens its doors again this year in Nürnberg from 30 May to 1 June. About 580 exhibitors from Germany and abroad expect over 9,000 visitors for the three days of the fair. The event, hosted every year by the AMA Association for Sensors and Measurement, is considered the worldwide leading fair in this area of technology.
The SENSOR+TEST has its focus this year on intelligent, networked solutions for the requirements of Industry 4.0: The objectives are more efficiency, productivity, security, and quality. For this to succeed, the operating data of machines, systems, and processes must be acquired and analyzed quickly, comprehensively, and accurately.
Holger Bödeker, AMA Service’s managing director, commented on this, saying, “Sensor, measuring, and testing systems are starting to be perceived in a new light, as this technology is the key to the industry of tomorrow. This year’s SENSOR+TEST will effectively demonstrate the innovations that exhibitors are already applying to this immense task.”
The special topic, “Networked Measuring for Mobile Applications”, is putting a very sophisticated discipline in the spotlight. Experts are to demonstrate how mobile measuring technology can be linked up securely with digital networks – and will provide live road tests on the exhibition’s test track.
International Conferences
Parallel to the exhibition, the AMA conferences, SENSOR 2017 and IRS² 2017, will enhance the event with scientific knowledge and an outlook on the future of the sensor industry. These biannual conferences offer first-rate talks by international specialists from research and development. The latest research results from the various disciplines allow the international audience of professionals to carry on a highly concentrated and specialized exchange of ideas.
Free Forum Program and Live Presentations
Besides the comprehensive scientific conference program, the visitors can expect a number of interesting lectures at open exhibitor forums in Halls 1 and 5. The exhibitors will provide an overview of their latest products and developments – and also show their practical application in live demonstrations at the action area. Interdisciplinary synergies are illustrated at the topic stand “Vision Sensors and Systems” in Hall 5.
The SENSOR+TEST will open on Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 A.M. to 6 P.M. and on Thursday from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. Visitors, who and register online at www.sensor-test.de/direct/voucher will get an admission voucher free of charge.
