SENSOR+TEST 2016: Welcome to the Innovation Dialog!

May 10, 2016

Innovative Sensor, Measuring, and Testing Technology for Industry 4.0

The international SENSOR+TEST trade fair will open its doors this year on Tuesday, the 10th of May, in Nürnberg under the motto “Welcome to the Innovation dialog!” For three days, 580 exhibitors from Germany and abroad can again expect about 8,000 visitors – this year for the first time in halls 1, 2, and 5 of the Nürnberg Exhibition Center. The SENSOR+TEST offers the worldwide most comprehensive offer of technical solutions for measuring, testing, and monitoring tasks for all branches of industry.

This year, the trade fair will focus especially on innovative products and developments for Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things. Holger Bödeker, AMA Service’s managing director, commented, “For the digitized and networked world of tomorrow, precise condition data is an essential commodity for generating the desired added value. The SENSOR+TEST’s special topic, Measuring in the Cloud, will show how real-world data is precisely measured, securely transmitted, and then evaluated with expert knowledge in powerful cloud solutions.”

International Conferences
Parallel to the SENSOR+TEST, two high-carat international conferences are to be held: 18. GMA/ITG-Fachtagung "Sensoren und Messsysteme" on 10 and 11 May will take place at the Nürnberg fair’s NCC Ost. This event, jointly supported by the VDI/VDE-Gesellschaft Mess- und Automatisierungstechnik (GMA) and the Informationstechnischen Gesellschaft im VDE (ITG) will present the state of the art of research and development in the area of sensors and measuring systems. After its successful premiere in 2014, the “European Telemetry and Test Conference – etc2016” will be held from 10 to 12 May. The central topics will be telemetry and telecontrol, test instrumentation, and data processing. These subjects will also be dealt with at the associated exhibition in hall 2.

Free Forum Program and Live Presentations
Besides the comprehensive conference program, visitors can attend numerous free technical presentations at the exhibitor forums in Halls 1 and 5. Many exhibitors will show an overview of their latest products and developments. Interdisciplinary crossovers will be presented at a special stand for “Vision Sensors and Systems”.

Visitors will also be pleased by all the sensor and measuring technology demonstrations: On the driving-test ground there will be all-day live presentations of vehicles equipped with measuring and monitoring equipment. During this application of automotive measuring technology, road capability and suitability for daily use are major objectives.

The SENSOR+TEST 2016 is open on Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors, who have registered at www.sensor-test.com/voucher will receive a free-entry ticket. An optimized Web access is available for smartphones and tablets at m.sensor-test.com.
