Top-class supporting program increases attractiveness of the fair
Mar 18, 2025
The SENSOR+TEST will be held in Nuremberg from May 6 to 8, 2025, and will once again provide a first-class platform for the innovation dialog. The fair enables an intensive exchange of knowledge, promotes networking, and invites active participation in innovative technologies. The exhibitor bookings are promising, and the organizers expect a significant increase in visitor numbers. They can look forward to a top-class accompanying program that further enhances the attractiveness of the SENSOR+TEST.
“In seven weeks, the SENSOR+TEST 2025 will start, and our organizing team is working hard to create an event that will impress with its specialization. In contrast to large, often unclear trade fairs, the SENSOR+TEST focuses on expertise,” explains Elena Schultz, managing director of AMA Service GmbH. Visitors can expect a fully occupied hall 1 and a plaza as a central meeting and exchange platform in hall 2. A special highlight is the varied action program. The focus is on the established Innovative Calibration Area, two forums with high-class speakers and numerous best-practice presentations, the new lecture series on condition monitoring, the special Young Innovators area, and the SMSI 2025 – Sensor and Measurement Science International Conference. “Visitors and experts can look forward to a concentrated package of knowledge and innovation,” says Elena Schultz.
Innovative Calibration Area in the spotlight again
The topic of ‘calibration’ is at the top of the agenda in many companies. With the increasing number of sensors and measuring points, the use of modern, digital, and automated calibration concepts is becoming a decisive competitive factor in technical industry.
At SENSOR+TEST 2025, visitors will once again have the opportunity to experience the world of calibration up close. In the Innovative Calibration Area, exhibitors will present a wide range of innovative and reliable applications and services. From specialized calibration laboratories to leading institutions, all relevant players will be represented.
The Innovative Calibration Area is an ideal platform for an innovation dialog between manufacturers, calibration service providers and users. The Technology Forum offers in-depth insights into the importance, strategies and digital future of calibration. “Our goal is not only to present technological innovations, but also to promote the exchange of expertise in order to sustainably advance the industry. Topics such as the international system of units (SI), traceability, measurement uncertainty, or the digital calibration certificate will be the focus of attention,” emphasizes Elena Schultz.
Condition Monitoring as a focal point
Monitoring the condition of vehicles, machines, and plants is one of the most demanding and at the same time most future-oriented tasks for sensors and measuring systems. The SENSOR+TEST 2025 is dedicating special attention to this central application area. At the fair, innovative solutions and systems will be presented that provide crucial data and diagnostic results. These form the basis for safe, efficient, environmentally friendly and economical operating processes. The spectrum ranges from retrofit solutions and condition monitoring to remote testing and predictive maintenance, as well as machine diagnostics and AI-supported applications.
A special highlight is the new lecture series “Condition Monitoring”. Visitors will gain first-hand insights into how innovative sensors and measuring technology are used in practice to increase efficiency and safety in various industries. “Condition monitoring and predictive maintenance are no longer visions of the future, but essential factors for the competitiveness of companies. The SENSOR+TEST 2025 will bring together leading experts and the latest technologies in these fields,” says Elena Schultz. “Next year, this topic will be explored in more depth as a special topic at the SENSOR+TEST.”
Strong demand for joint stands
There is also great interest in the state-subsidized participation in the “Young Innovators” joint stand for young innovative companies. This gives start-ups the opportunity to present their new developments to a broad specialist audience. In 2025, the joint stand will be sponsored for the eighteenth time by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection. “Young companies often have more ideas than financial resources. The joint stand offers them an established platform to present their innovations to an interested specialist audience,” says Elena Schultz.
Further joint stands are organized by research associations such as Bayern Innovativ, the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, or the Strategische Partnerschaft Sensorik.
Conference at the highest level
The third SMSI – Sensor and Measurement Science International Conference will start at the same time as the SENSOR+TEST on 6 May 2025 in the NürnbergMesse Congress Center West. This still young format brings together national and international representatives from research, science, industry, and government institutions. Numerous renowned experts and young scientists from different countries will present their latest research results and discuss ideas and future trends.
Sensor and measuring technology are heavily dependent on innovations from research and development. The current state of the art will be presented at SMSI 2025. With more than 200 lectures and presentations, the conference offers a comprehensive look into the future of technology. Further information is available at www.smsi-conference.com.
Participation opportunities and ticket sales
Companies still have the opportunity to participate in SENSOR+TEST 2025 – whether with their own exhibition stand, in one of the thematic areas, or with a presentation on the forums.
Visitors can already book their tickets. The online ticket shop is open and accessible via the website www.sensor-test.de/en/direct/ticket.
