Thermography Software for Industrial Process Measurement Technology
May 19, 2026
For many applications of DIAS PYROVIEW thermal imaging cameras and PYROLINE infrared line cameras for non-contact temperature measurement, numerous software packages are available for the visualization and analysis of measurement data (online and offline), as well as for integration with process control systems. The standard and analysis software PYROSOFT Compact, PYROSOFT Professional, and PYROSOFT Professional IO is suitable for universal applications in R&D, industrial, and service sectors. Regarding image acquisition and display, there is a wide selection of views, numerous analysis options, ROI (Region of Interest) and VOI (Value of Interest) functions, as well as extensive capabilities for evaluation and documentation. Furthermore, PYROSOFT Professional IO enables direct process integration. Via an IO system (PROFIBUS, PROFINET, WAGO, Modbus, OPC, TCP socket, or text file), trigger signals, alarm states, and measured values can be read in and output.
The application-specific software PYROSOFT Automation is available for the automated monitoring and control of industrial processes in 24/7 operation. Its features include:
• Online functionality like PYROSOFT Professional IO
• Configurable user interface, user rights and password management
• User management with different authorization levels
• Manual or automatic (I/O system/SPS) product switch, e.g. for different component sizes
• Display of status information and alarms
• Configurable Real-Time Stream Encoder (RTSP) in H.264 format
The PYROSOFT Automation software enables data acquisition from one camera. The image shows an application example of this software, used in conjunction with a PYROVIEW thermal imaging camera for monitoring weld seams on plastic films.
The PYROSOFT Automation SC variant is available for the synchronous data acquisition of up to twelve cameras. This is particularly relevant, for example, for monitoring an object from various positions. Data from the different cameras are combined into a single image. Furthermore, a common calculation of ROIs and VOIs, as well as data storage, is performed for all cameras.
With the PYROSOFT Automation MC variant, data from up to twelve cameras can also be acquired. However, data acquisition and analysis are performed in parallel and independently for each camera. It is possible to combine measurement values from different cameras for analysis. Overview and individual images from all cameras - as well as status information, alarm messages, and an overview of the states of the I/O outputs - are available.
