For many years, DIAS Infrared's PYROSPOT pyrometer series has provided high-performance, non-contact temperature measurement devices for a wide range of applications in industrial manufacturing and R&D. The new PYROSPOT 25 series is characterized by its particularly compact design, featuring a small and robust stainless steel housing (25 mm diameter, 120 mm length) with an M25x1 thread, making it ideal for continuous operation in industrial process measurement. The devices are equipped with fixed optics and an integrated aiming light.
In addition to the temperature-linear output 0/4…20 mA, the pyrometers feature an RS-485 interface (galvanically isolated, Modbus RTU), a maximum/minimum value storage, a switching output, and status LEDs. The PYROSOFT Spot software allows parameterization of the pyrometer via the RS-485 interface for optimal adaptation to the specific measurement task and evaluation of the measurement data.
First, two new types of pyrometers in the near-infrared range are being introduced, particularly suitable for measurements on metals and ceramics between 250 °C and 3000 °C. The DS 25N operates in the spectral range of 0.8 µm to 1.1 µm with two long temperature measurement ranges (600 °C to 2000 °C and 800 °C to 3000 °C). The second type, DG 25N, measures temperatures from 250 °C to 2000 °C and 350 °C to 2500 °C at wavelengths of 1.4 µm to 1.8 µm. Both types, with a response time (t95) of only 1 ms, are also suitable for fast measurement tasks. Further types with different spectral and temperature measurement ranges will follow successively.
