Analysing Ultrasonic Signals
May 12, 2026
Ultrasonic sensor systems deliver reliable results when the sensor, electronics and signal processing work together seamlessly. This SQ-Lab PCM digital storage oscilloscope with integrated signal generator was developed for this very purpose: the precise analysis of ultrasonic signals under real-world conditions.
It generates, stores and visualises ultrasonic signals in gases, liquids and solids, making signal waveforms, interactions and interference directly visible.
The integrated signal generator provides defined transmission parameters such as frequency, waveform and amplitude. On the receiving side, bandwidth, gain and time gain are flexibly adjustable. Analogue and digital filters, as well as averaging, enhance signal quality and ensure reproducible results.
The system is expandable to up to eight analogue channels and allows for parallel measurements, even across mixed frequency ranges. Customisable filters, gains and impedances make it versatile for a wide range of ultrasonic applications. Via triggers, optional I/O interfaces and 1G Ethernet, the platform can be seamlessly integrated or operated independently.
The result: ultrasound becomes visible, comparable and optimisable – with fewer iterations, faster validation and full control over the signal. A tool that makes development measurably more efficient.
