In this project, a reliable solution was developed for the continuous monitoring of fuel tank levels. The objective was to implement a robust, accurate, and low-maintenance measurement method that performs reliably even under demanding environmental conditions.

The core solution is based on the use of hydrostatic pressure sensors, which determine the fill level indirectly by measuring the liquid pressure at the bottom of the tank. These sensors detect the pressure generated by the column of fuel above and convert it into a proportional electrical signal.

The pressure sensors applied in this project offer several key technical advantages:

The sensors provide precise measurement data even over extended periods, ensuring reliable inventory monitoring.

Designed specifically for fuel applications, the sensors are resistant to aggressive media such as diesel and gasoline.

For use in hazardous areas (e.g. tank installations), ATEX/IECEx-certified versions can be deployed.

Standard output signals (e.g. 4–20 mA) enable seamless integration into existing monitoring and control systems.
- Low maintenance requirements
Thanks to the non-intrusive measurement principle and durable construction, maintenance needs are minimal.
