Ultra-small strain sensor with temperature compensation in Wheatstone full bridge – Perhaps the smallest sensor in the world; Challenge us!
11.04.2025
Despite their disadvantages (influence of conduction resistances and thermal disturbance), metallic strain sensors are widely used in industry and research.
Due to the particularly small design, digid's strain sensors can be realized on 0.4 mm², which are constructed as a Wheatstone full bridge. This allows possible disturbances, such as temperature changes, to be compensated. The strain sensors can have a high basic resistance (5kΩ to 1MΩ), so that the resistance of the supply lines is negligible and the thinnest contact is possible. The sensors can be customized on different substrates.
