With the 1620, AMSYS GmbH & Co. KG offers a compact, cost-efficient, and highly accurate relative pressure sensor ideally suited for medical applications – particularly as a disposable blood pressure sensor. Protected by a biocompatible gel, the sensor delivers reliable and precise measurements within the clinically relevant pressure range of -50 to +300 mmHg.

Designed for short-term use up to 168 hours, the sensor can be safely used in direct contact with bodily fluids. Thanks to its disposable design, it can be easily and hygienically replaced, with a deviation of less than 1% compared to a new sensor of the same type.

Measuring only 10.5 x 7.2 mm, the 1620 is highly versatile and commonly used in intensive care units, during surgical procedures, in infusion systems, dialysis machines, prenatal diagnostics, and even in obstetrics, such as vacuum-assisted deliveries.

The sensor is easy to sterilize, whether via ETO, gamma, or electron beam sterilization. Encased in a robust plastic housing, it is RoHS-compliant and offers high repeatability with a maximum deviation of 1% within the temperature range of 5 to 40 °C. It features an analog mV output signal, which can be easily amplified and integrated into existing systems.
