The AMS 6916 series from AMSYS is a high-precision analog pressure sensor line distinguished by its compact design, versatile applications, and exceptional accuracy. These sensors are particularly used in medical applications such as ventilators.

Thanks to the combination of piezoresistive MEMS pressure sensing elements and advanced digital signal processing, these sensors deliver highly reliable measurements. They come in a space-saving DIL housing with horizontal or vertical pressure ports. With an operating voltage of 5 V and a maximum current consumption of 3 mA, they provide an amplified, ratiometric output signal ranging from 0.5 to 4.5 V. Additionally, the sensors are factory-calibrated, temperature-compensated for a range of -25 to 85 °C, and offer excellent long-term stability. Their total error band (TEB) is below 1% FSO within 0 to 60 °C for pressure ranges ≥ 20 mbar. An integrated self-test function ensures additional safety.

The AMS 6916 series includes sensors for various pressure types and measurement ranges: Differential and relative pressure sensors are available from 5 mbar to 1 bar, while bidirectional differential pressure sensors allow measurements from -5 to 5 mbar up to -1 to 1 bar. Furthermore, absolute pressure sensors are available for 1 bar, along with a barometric version for 700 to 1200 mbar.

These versatile sensors are suitable for non-corrosive gases and can also be used in liquids for relative pressure measurements. In addition to medical technology, they are ideal for industrial process control, as well as heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.

In addition to standard versions, AMSYS also offers customized variants specifically tailored to applications requiring the highest precision in measuring static and dynamic pressures. A digital alternative to the AMS 6916 series is the AMS 6915, which additionally features a digital output.
