Whether in medical technology, pneumatics, or modern wearables – gel-protected pressure sensors in SMD housings are highly versatile and increasingly popular. The MS5547 now offers a compact yet robust solution for gauge pressure measurements up to 2 bar.

The MS5547 is specifically designed for media-resistant applications and is available in two variants: one with biocompatible silicone gel for medical applications and another with highly durable fluorogel for demanding industrial applications, such as in e-cigarettes.

With a measurement range of -200 to +2200 mbar, the sensor delivers the highest precision. Thanks to its 24-bit data output via I²C or SPI, both pressure and temperature values can be read with high accuracy. Additionally, eleven stored calibration coefficients enable external compensation, achieving an impressive total accuracy (TEB) of less than 5 mbar.

The compact, biocompatible plastic housing is sealed with an O-ring (2 x 1 mm²). Despite its robust construction, the MS5547 measures only 4 x 4 x 4.4 mm³. The sensor features a small opening on the underside that reliably detects atmospheric pressure.

For easy integration, the sensor is reflow-solderable and fully compliant with RoHS and REACH regulations. The MS5547 thus provides a reliable, high-precision pressure measurement solution for a wide range of applications.
