- AMSYS GmbH & Co. KG presents ultra-compact differential pressure transmitter with Bluetooth data transmission-

Thanks to its robust IP44 housing, the AMS 4516 is not only the smallest, but also one of the most robust wireless differential pressure sensors on the market. Compared to the wired AMS 4711, the AMS 4516 offers significantly more flexibility - especially for mobile applications, in hard-to-reach areas or wherever long cables or hoses are a hindrance.

With the AMS 4516, AMSYS GmbH & Co. KG is launching a new, particularly compact differential pressure sensor that is ideal for pressure measurement and filter monitoring - especially where cable-based retrofitting is difficult or impossible. Even in areas that are difficult to access or for mobile applications, the sensor enables flexible and uncomplicated reading of the measurement data via various end devices.

In so-called advertising mode (broadcasting), the sensor continuously transmits measurement data to mobile end devices, on which the data is displayed both numerically and graphically. An integrated EEPROM also enables internal storage of the measured values. A Windows desktop application and a Bluetooth gateway for network integration are available for seamless integration into Industry 4.0 environments.

The new wireless AMS 4516 series is aimed at users who want to record pressure data quickly and on the move. In contrast to classic steel transmitters with pipe fittings or complex measuring systems, the AMS 4516 focuses on the essentials: the precise transmission of pressure and temperature data with minimal space requirements. The sensor is extremely small and transmits data wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.1 BLE.

Power is supplied via a commercially available CR2032 button cell battery, which can be easily replaced. In combination with the freely configurable sampling and transmission rate (100 ms to 500 s), the battery life can be up to three years, depending on the application.

The AMS 4516 covers differential pressure ranges from 0-5 mbar to 0-1 bar as well as bidirectional versions from ±5 mbar to ±1 bar. The AMS 4506 variant is also available for absolute pressure applications. The sensors are factory-calibrated, linearized and temperature-compensated and offer a measuring accuracy of 0.5 to 1.5 % FSO over the entire temperature range, depending on the pressure range.

With the AMS 4516, AMSYS is setting new standards in terms of mobility, precision and user-friendliness in differential pressure measurement.
