The new AC3040 ultra low pressure MEMS die developed by Angst + Pfister is the new benchmark thanks to its high sensitivity on a best in class footprint of just 1.6x1.6mm. The die is targeted at the 1kPa pressure range, and depending on the application can be calibrated to a pressure range of just 500Pa.
This makes the AC3040 the ideal product for implementing sensors in HVAC applications where the finest pressure differences need to be measured, but offset calibration is often not possible for years. It is also the perfect product for medical applications, such as in ventilators.
