Cogging torque measurement plays a decisive role on engine test benches. However, due to the minute magnitude of the measured torque, conventional torque meters often fail to provide the required accurate readings.
With a minimum range of 0.05Nm, the “UTMIII” torque meters of Unipulse allow for extremely precise measurement and evaluation of even the most delicate torques, previously unattainable. Moreover, it's high shaft rigidity enables torque measurement even at high-speed rotation, making it ideal for testing motors for electric vehicles.
Additionally, its compact and lightweight design, low non-linearity of 0.03%FS, maximum speed of 40,000rpm, tolerance for overload up to 500%, and reduced impact of radial and thrust loads on torque meter accuracy, make it suitable not only for measuring cogging torque but also for various other tests benches and applications for condition monitoring, fatigue strength as well as quality, health and stress screening.
