In many applications, liquid levels need to be determined. This is necessary to define maintenance intervals, ensure operational continuity, or support safety-relevant applications. Traditional level sensors are rigid components that require a system to be specially adapted to them – if this is even possible.

At this year's Sensor and Test, we are introducing the first flexible liquid level sensor. The demonstrated model measures levels in the single-digit centimeter range. The special feature: it can snake around corners, bends, and curves, thus detecting levels in previously inaccessible locations.
