The NM20 series encoder is an absolute magnetic encoder that includes 18-bit single-turn (ST) and 24-bit multiturn counters (MT) as standard. To improve system integrity and simplicity, a single magnetic solution is responsible for generating both ST and MT positions. The NM20 has an outer diameter of only 20mm, including the outer casing, which also acts as a magnetic shield for the entire magnetic coding system. The encoder is equipped with state-of-the-art Energy Harvesting Multiturn technology and has a choice of integrated communication protocols supported by full-duplex or half-duplex operation. With good immunity for more robust data transmission in harsh industrial applications, up to 10 Mbps in SSI/BiSS-C/RS485 protocol. The serial SPI 4-wire protocol is also available as a single-ended and is suitable for applications such as small servo motors, drives, actuators, AGVs or robots, as well as laboratory equipment.
