Expansion of weighing measurement portfolio
19.01.2026
We are pleased to announce the addition of several new products to our weighing measurement portfolio. With this expansion, we now offer one of the most complete selections of load cells, load pins, shackles, and wireless force sensors on the European market. This update strengthens our ability to deliver reliable, customizable, and high-performance force measurement solutions across industries such as marine, lifting & hoisting, aerospace, logistics, and structural testing.
Broader range to meet diverse application demands
Whether you are monitoring lifting operations on an offshore platform, calibrating equipment in a test lab, or integrating sensors into custom-built machinery, our expanded range of load cells, links, shackles, and pins provides the versatility, reliability, and connectivity required for critical applications. Many of the new models offer wireless telemetry, ATEX certification, and IP67 protection, making them ideal for use in harsh environments where safety and accuracy are essential.
Compression load cells
A wider selection of compact, low-profile compression load cells ideal for static and dynamic force measurement in tight spaces. These sensors are frequently used in R&D, test benches, press systems, and industrial automation. With both wired and wireless options, engineers can select the right model based on accuracy, form factor, and integration needs.
Sample models: CDIT-1 Stainless steel low profile compression load cell, CPW Wireless stainless steel compression load cell, PTC-1 Low profile pancake load cell (stainless steel)
Load measuring pins
These load pins enable non-intrusive, direct force measurement at pivot or bearing points in cranes, winches, lifting blocks, and custom OEM machinery. With both wired and wireless options, and full mechanical customisation available, load pins are a preferred solution when traditional load cells can’t be used due to space or structure constraints.
Sample models: LPB Custom designed stainless steel load measuring pin, LPM Stainless steel load measuring pin, LPW Wireless stainless steel load measuring pin
Wireless and cabled Load links
Load links are essential for inline force measurement, especially in lifting, tensioning, and overload monitoring applications. With these additions, Althen now supports both heavy-duty marine and mobile lifting applications, offering telemetry ranges of up to 700 m and capacities up to several hundred tonnes. These solutions integrate easily into T24 systems and can be used in offshore, logistics, and heavy machinery environments.
Sample models: WLL Wireless stainless steel load link, AWLL Aluminium wireless load link, RILL Wireless load link
Load shackles
These robust, ready-to-use shackle sensors are ideal for load monitoring in cranes, hoists, offshore lifting gear, and rigging systems. The addition of SHK-B and SHK-D expands Althen’s offering with cabled load shackles in both bow and D-type form factors. They're commonly used in mobile lifting systems, rental fleets, and temporary installations where easy deployment is key.
Sample models: SHK-B Series bow type cabled load shackle, SHK-D Intrinsically safe cabled load shackle, TELSHACK-D Load Shackle
Trusted in critical applications across industries
The newly added sensors support a wide variety of real-world use cases. From load testing in civil engineering to overload protection on offshore cranes. Load shackles and wireless links are widely used in lifting and rigging operations where mobility, safety, and quick deployment are essential. Compression load cells and washer sensors are ideal for structural testing, press monitoring, and R&D environments. Meanwhile, custom-designed load pins and ATEX-certified options ensure safe weight monitoring in harsh industrial, marine, and hazardous areas. Whatever the application, we always offer the right sensor.
Whether you are building a new system or retrofitting an existing setup, our expanded range of weighing sensors offers proven solutions tailored to your industry. Explore the full product offering online or get in touch with our sensor experts.
