Sensorix is expanding its OEM product portfolio with the new electrochemical SO2 gas sensor. Featuring a three-electrode design and an ionic liquid-based electrolyte, the sensor is suitable for portable and fixed gas detection instruments and measures sulfur dioxide in the range of 0–50 ppm.
The SO2 sensor shows no cross-sensitivity towards hydrogen (H2) or carbon monoxide (CO), enabling selective measurement and reducing the risk of false alarms caused by these interfering gases. The Sensorix SO2 50 LT sensor also provides stable measurements in harsh environments with relative humidity levels of 15–90% and temperatures ranging from −40 °C to +50 °C. It offers a fast response time of T90 ≤ 30 s and an exceptionally stable baseline. The ionic liquid used in the sensor’s electrolyte prevents drying out and supports a long sensor lifetime.
The sensor is available in 4S, 7S, Mini, Classic 4-Pin, Classic 8-Pin, and Smart 8-Pin formats. Custom sizes are available upon request.
