The new KS84B- and KS85 series of industrial accelerometers from MMF impresses with their outstanding measurement characteristics. They combine high-quality accelerometers from the field of measurement technology with industrial robustness, all at an attractive price.

They can be used in a wide range of industrial applications, e.g. in:
· Machine and system monitoring of: spindles, gearboxes, pumps, compressors, motors
· Quality inspection of the manufacture of: components, system and vehicle components
· Monitoring in the field of energy generation on: turbines, generators, wind turbines
· Product development and testing in the automotive and transportation industries: chassis and structural testing

Compared to standard industrial accelerometers, both sensor series offer an extended frequency range, improved temperature stability and lower noise levels.
The high-quality housing is fully insulated, IP68 rated for waterproofing and provides high electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) protection.

A notable feature of the KS84B and KS85 series is that all sensor types are equipped with TEDS (Transducer Electronic Data Sheet). This ensures secure channel assignment, particularly when using multi-channel DAQ systems or computer-based measurement systems with TEDS and minimizes incorrect sensor sensitivity settings during sensor replacements.

The KS84B is mounted with an M8 female thread. The cable connection is made axially via an M12 industrial connector system.
The KS85 series has a radial cable outlet and is attached with a mounting flange, which is available in various designs. This mounting method allows for free 360° alignment of the cable outlet – an advantage especially in cases of limited installation space or complex cable routing. Connection is also made via an M12 industrial connector system.

The KS84B and KS85 sensor families are available in the following versions:

KS84B series (axial cable connection):
• KS84B.10 – Measuring range: 600 g · Sensitivity: 10 mV/g · Frequency range (3 dB): 0.2–23 kHz
• KS84B.100 – Measuring range: 60 g · Sensitivity: 100 mV/g · Frequency range (3 dB): 0.2–20 kHz
• KS84B.500 – Measuring range: 11 g · Sensitivity: 500 mV/g · Frequency range (3 dB): 0.3–20 kHz

KS85 series (radial cable connection):
• KS85.10 – Measuring range: 600 g · Sensitivity: 10 mV/g · Frequency range (3 dB): 0.2–15 kHz
• KS85.100 – Measuring range: 60 g · Sensitivity: 100 mV/g · Frequency range (3 dB): 0.2–15 kHz
• KS85.500 – Measuring range: 11 g · Sensitivity: 500 mV/g · Frequency range (3 dB): 0.3–15 kHz
