With the special topic "Sensors and Measurement Technology for Condition Monitoring", the SENSOR+TEST 2020, which will take place from 23-25 June 2020 in Nuremberg, Germany, will show the latest developments from intrinsically safe sensors to highly sophisticated measurement systems that adapt independently to their monitoring task thanks to artificial intelligence.
SMSI 2020 - Sensor and Measurement Science International
For the first time the new international congress SMSI 2020 - Sensor and Measurement Science International will take place. SMSI 2020 replaces the scientific AMA congresses SENSOR and IRS². The AMA congresses will be integrated into the new congress Sensor and Measurement Science International (SMSI). In addition to the previous columns SENSOR and IRS² (then combined under 'Sensors and Instrumentation'), this congress will include further scientific topics: 'Measurement Science' and 'System of Units and Metrological Infrastructure'.
ettc2020 - European Test and Telemetry Conference
The ettc2020 - European Test and Telemetry Conference is the most important international platform for telemetry, test instrumentation, telecontrol and data processing and takes place for the fourth time parallel to the SENSOR+TEST. The conference will showcase original technical papers and innovation ideas in test, telemetry, telecontrol, instrumentation and recording technologies for industrial, automotive, scientific, aerospace, space, naval and military applications. Speakers from across the industry will discuss innovative developments that will be the communication networks of tomorrow.

In order to make it easier for start-ups to take part in trade fairs in Germany, the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy has set up a support programme that covers up to 60% of the costs incurred for stand rental and construction. The SENSOR+TEST has already been part of the circle of qualified trade fairs for many years. The participation in the joint stand "Young innovative companies" is subsidized.
AMA Innovation Award 2020 - And the Winner is...?
On the occasion of the SENSOR+TEST 2020, the AMA Innovation Award will be presented for the twentieth time. It is one of the most renowned prizes in sensor and measurement technology and is awarded annually by the AMA Association for Sensor and Measurement Technology. The AMA Innovation Award is endowed with prize money of 10,000 euros, which is awarded directly to the development team and not to their companies and institutes.

SENSOR+TEST 2020: New hall combination refreshes the fair
From 2020, the SENSOR+TEST will start with a new hall combination, which should contribute positively to its success. The integration of the new, ultra-modern Hall 3C and the tour that has now been made possible will result in significantly improved possibilities for stand planning. This will further increase the efficiency of the fair for exhibitors and visitors. Thus the SENSOR+TEST 2020 will take place in halls 1, 2 and 3C.
