Modulares Sensorsystem für raue Umgebungen

An energy-autonomous sensor system is being developed for the permanent monitoring of environmental parameters (such as pH and conductivity) in the sewer. The system consists of one or more sensor rings on which waterproof functional modules are mounted. The modules communicate via a wired bus system, the rings underneath each other wirelessly via radio. An event-based sampling algorithm controls the measurements. A sensor with low energy consumption is constantly in operation, which triggers the commissioning of the entire sensor system under predefined conditions. In combination with the specially developed "low power" architecture, a minimum quiescent current requirement is achieved. The microMole project is funded by the EU program Horizon 2020 with the grant number 653626.
