Among the wide range of products offered by the company based near Lyon, two devices have been upgraded to better meet their clients' needs: the MUX solutions are designed for multiplexed connections using Modbus TCP and MQTT. The WK device helps manage and optimize energy consumption across installations by measuring and converting all electrical network parameters of any type. Meanwhile, the UHLIS device captures data from process signals to support decision-making.

While JM Concept already offered connected devices, the data collected wasn’t easily accessible to data analysts. To solve this, they needed a way to send that data to the Cloud while maintaining communication with automation systems. The challenge—and the innovation—was to achieve this without changing the product design or adding a new device. That’s exactly what JM Concept’s team accomplished with the WK 6000MUX and UHLIS 3000MUX devices. These solutions bridge the gap between the world of IT (Information Technology) and OT (Operational Technology): true IoT 4.0 connected objects! This gateway marks the beginning of digital transformation.

To send data to the Cloud, MUX devices are equipped with a TCP/IP connection that allows the multiplexing of two communication protocols:

Modbus TCP for communication with PLCs

MQTT, a modern protocol that sends a set of measurements to a Cloud platform

JM Concept’s devices can be configured via their USB or Ethernet ports using the IXLOG software. The interfaces are user-friendly and efficient. Users can simultaneously transmit all electrical characteristics of a system both to the Cloud and to an industrial network.

The entire MUX product range is designed by JM Concept’s engineering office, and each device is manufactured, calibrated, and tested in their Brignais-based workshops. Thanks to the advanced testing facilities in their lab, JM Concept is able to offer a 5- to 10-year warranty on their products.
