JM Concept is launching its brand-new product, the XALIS 1000SIL, part of the XALIS 1000 range of indicators specifically designed for strain gauge or Wheatstone bridge inputs in the industrial lifting market. This latest addition to the line stands out thanks to its SIL2-certified safety mode, developed in response to growing customer demand.

The XALIS 1000SIL is the only device on the market to offer the following features: SIL2 certification for 4 to 6-wire strain gauge bridge inputs, two analog outputs (one of which is SIL2-certified), one to four SIL2-certified relay outputs, and communication via Modbus RTU fieldbus. This combination of features makes it an ideal choice for industrial lifting applications that require a high level of reliability and safety for control and command systems.

In terms of safety functions in compliance with IEC 61508-2 standards, the XALIS 1000SIL can generate a voltage or current output signal that corresponds to a strain gauge bridge input value. It can also switch the relay outputs to a fallback position when a threshold defined by the operator is crossed. Additionally, in the event of a detected fault, fallback modes or safe states are activated on the analog and relay outputs, ensuring enhanced safety during lifting operations.

The XALIS 1000SIL also offers the same benefits as other JM Concept devices, including universality, electrical isolation, pluggability, and communication. The reliability of this new product is on par with the brand’s other devices, all of which undergo rigorous unit testing. As a result, JM Concept confidently offers a 5-year warranty to its customers.
