The single axis versions 3224x and 3225x of our bestseller, the triax IEPE vibration sensor 3133xx, are among the smallest vibration sensors in the world.
Miniature size and light weight are particularly important on very small structures, to avoid the vibration of the structure being tested being influenced by the mounting of the sensor on it.
This "mass loading" effect is minimised by the ultra-miniature design of the sensor. Satellite applications, where every µgram counts, are another example of where our sensors excel.
The wide range of 100mV/g to 0,2 mV/g, corresponding to 50g and 25,000g ranges and the broad frequency range up to 20 kHz (+/- 10%) allows them to be used in a wide range of applications. The ability to be used in areas with high temperatures of up to 170°C is exceptional for IEPE sensors.
In addition, the isolated and hermetical sealed versions are very popular in e-mobility.

The 3224 and 3225 series are ultra-miniaturized IEPE accelerometers with integrated electronics designed for adhesive mounting in places that are inaccessible to other types of accelerometers.
The possible applications are therefore diverse and range from small satellites to environmental stress screening (ESS), measurement of mechanical shock, vibration measurements on printed circuit boards and hard disk drives as well as in the automotive sector to structural analysis on amusement park rides.
So, these tiny sensors can be used in the most harsh environments.
