Temperature sensors from Mesurex - MADE TO MEASURE!
Dec 13, 2024
The new temperature sensors of Mesurex set standards in precision and reliability. They are customised in order to be optimally adapted to the conditions of the customer's application.
Whether resistance-based temperature sensors (e.g. PT100 or PT1000), thermocouples (Type K, T, N, J, R, S, or E) or other temperature sensors such as thermistors and pyrometers, the new temperature sensors from Mesurex are manufactured exactly as required for the customer's application. Various factors play a role here.
- Accuracies of up to 0.01°C (1/10 class AA) can be achieved with PT100 in a 4-wire circuit.
- extremely thin platinum wires are used to manufacture surface-mount PT100s
- very large temperature ranges up to over 1600°C can be achieved with thermocouples
- Temperature measurements in very inaccessible places are made possible by flexible thermocouples that can be bent ‘around the curve’.
- Very fast response times are achieved with very thin thermocouples.
- The Thermocouple type is important for the correct selection of the thermocouple type: For example, Type J thermocouples are better suited for plastic injection moulding processes, which otherwise cause an offset error when used continuously in the 400°C to 500°C range - which is common here.
The customer can therefore rely on our experience and professional advice to find the optimum sensor for even the most unusual tasks.
One example of such a solution is the PT100 sensor from the LE1 series for monitoring high-performance electric motors and generators.
The LE1 is inserted into the slots of the stator discs for temperature monitoring. It enables thermal monitoring with unrivalled accuracy. It has been tested in the temperature range from -20°C to 180°C and subjected to insulation tests up to 5kV. The LE1 therefore guarantees perfect function even in harsh environments and enables comprehensive temperature monitoring. For easy handling, the LE1 is dimensioned so that it can be easily mounted in stator slots. Each sensor is supplied with a full calibration report and a test certificate.
