New acoustic pressure sensor for high temperatures
Jan 16, 2024
The new pressure sensor, model 176A07, with UHT-12™ sensor element from PCB Piezotronics is hazardous area approved and can be used at higher temperatures up to +650° C (1200°F).
Model 176A07 is a single ended charge mode sensor, which is radiation hardened, submersible (with fully hermetically sealed cable connection), and is electrical case isolated. It is an excellent choice for manufacturers of rocket motors, steam pipe monitoring, thermoacoustic measurements, and general combustion dynamics applications.
Features
• Sensor element made of UHT-12™ for more accurate and low-noise measurements, especially at high temperatures
• Wide temperature range from -70 ... +650° C
• High dynamic range for acoustic measurements with high amplitude (up to 5,000 kPa)
• Intrinsically safe design ATEX, IECEx, CSA
With these features, especially for use in high temperatures, the 176A07 complements the PCB-116B acoustic pressure sensor models. All models in this family have the same dimensions and feature a 10-32 coaxial connection.
