Fast Pulsable IR-Emitter

Opto Diode Corporation, of the ITW Photonics Group, announces the SPF infrared emitter. It is designed to be used as fast pulsed sources of black-body radiation. The design has been optimized for high modulation depth and optical output.
The SPF220-5M2 (order number 40101) emits in the wavelength range from 1 µm to 6 µm. The electrical power is 2.78 W. It can be operated at fast pulse rates, up to 200 Hz with 50% modulation depth. It is assembled in an TO5 package with sapphire window.
Markets for the 40101 are medical, environmental, industrial, safety and security.
