IMS use its multi-pixel triangulation optical sensor ASIC in its low cost optical distance sensor.
Working Principle:
Triangulation Sensor by using the position of the light spot on the sensor to calculate the distance of the background and target.

3. Black/White Difference:
10m-100mm, 2mm
100mm – 300mm, less than 10%
