EC Sense Presents: NEW Innovative Hydrogen Gas Sensor with a Detection Range of 0 - 5% vol.

EC-Sense GmbH has recently unveiled its latest innovation: the Hydrogen 5% vol. Gas Sensor. This cutting-edge sensor is designed to detect hydrogen within the range of 0 to 5% vol., with the capability to even detect concentrations exceeding 20% vol. through overload. The sensor boasts a fast reaction time of T90 < 90 seconds and offers an extended lifespan exceeding 5 years.
As hydrogen is an important new energy, gas sensors are essential for the use of hydrogen as such. Together with the Solid Polymer Electrochemical Technology, EC Sense’s three product lines, Gas Sensors, Sensor Modules and Sensor Devices, provide the perfect solution for leak detection in hydrogen plants, supply points, fuel cells and hydrogen vehicles.
At the heart of all EC Sense Gas Sensors lies the innovative Solid Polymer Electrochemical Technology. The concept of a dry electrochemical cell based on a solid polymer electrolyte challenges not only the design limitations of traditional gas sensors, but also the traditional applications for electrochemical cells.
Due to the dry sensor core, the gas sensors offer flexibility in design and size. This printable technology guarantees continuous quality management while still allowing a large-scale production in German facilities. The sensors itself operate without consuming any power. They are equipped with a sleep mode and can be recalibrated via command input. Additionally, the sensors require no warm-up time and exhibit no zero drift or sensor poisoning, providing consistent and accurate measurements even in high-humidity environments. With a wide temperature range of -40°C to +55°C, EC Sense sensors cater to diverse applications while adhering to RoHS environmental standards.
EC Sense offers a single gas sensor for the hydrogen H2 detection with the small ES1 Gas Sensor series. The ES1 Gas Sensor can be combined with a PCB – as Gas Sensor Module – to allow easy integration into a multitude of solutions.
