PCB Piezotronics GmbH is taking over the active distribution of the hydrophone product line of the US manufacturer Wilcoxon Sensing Technologies with immediate effect.
For over 60 years, Wilcoxon has been developing hydrophones for demanding marine applications in the field of measurement and testing technology as well as for OEM applications. The underwater sound sensors are designed to withstand the rigours of continuous underwater exposure in both seawater and freshwater environments.
These sensors are used in towed sonars, sonar buoys, listening stations, for pump cavitation and machine studies, for monitoring underwater biological studies and for submarine weapons.
Of particular interest are the H23 series hydrophones, the next generation models that are particularly small, self-amplifying and shielded and can therefore be used for a wide range of underwater acoustic measurements.
