The compact differential pressure transmitter: now with gel or parylene coatings
When it comes to pressure transmitters, there are many different products on the market. However, there are fewer differential pressure transmitters and hardly any compact differential pressure transmitters, particularly for use with liquid media. The new 85 series closes this gap.
The internal MEMS chip and ASIC can now be completely coated with gel, enabling the sensor to be used for various liquid media. Of course, a gel coating always has an impact on performance, particularly in the case of low-pressure sensors – that’s why we have developed a process for low pressures in which we cover the pressure DIE, ASIC and the bonding wires with a thin layer of parylene. With this coating option, we achieve great media resistance with almost no reduction in performance, even at very low pressures.
