This year, Fraunhofer IPMS focuses on ultrasonic sensor technology and presents miniaturized, silicon-based approaches for solving a wide range of measurement tasks.
Topics addressed include
- Distance detection,
- gesture recognition,
- hydrogen concentration measurements and
- predictive machine maintenance.

Based on a Capacitive Micromachined Ultrasonic Transducer (CMUT), a demonstrator of a MEMS ultrasonic spirometer will be shown at the booth and a procedure for determining hydrogen concentrations in gas mixtures up to 100% will be presented.
